HARY TANOE
Ia adalah salah satu konglomerat Indonesia yang awal bisnisnya dari saham.
Nama lengkap Bambang Hary Iswanto Tanoesoedibjo lebih terkenal dengan Hary Tanoe.
Lahir 26 September 1965.
Mengawali bisnis pada usia 25 tahun, setelah lulus dari Ottawa University, Kanada dengan gelar Master of Business Administration.
Sejak kuliah, Hary akrab bermain saham di bursa Toronto. Disini ia mengenal penyandang dana atau investor2 kakap dunia.
Modal awal Rp 200 juta pinjam dari ayah, mendirikan perusahaan sekuritas PT Bhakti Investama, di Surabaya. Tak lama kemudian hijrah ke Jakarta, memasukkan Bhakti ke Bursa Efek Jakarta.
Ia banyak terlibat dalam kegiatan investment banking serta aksi merger dan akuisisi.
Perusahaan2 bermasalah diborong, dengan harga murah, diperbaiki, lalu dijual.
Dari sinilah ia memperbesar bisnisnya.
Ia piwai membaca peluang dan mencari sumber dana.
Aksi akuisisinya jarang menggunakan dana sendiri.
Ekspansi bisnisnya dengan cara mencari dana dari publik melalui penawaran saham ataupun melalui konsorsium.
Harry Tanoe mempunyai akses modal yang sangat luas diluar negeri, Korea, Cina, Singapura, Hong Kong sampai AS.
Ia mengundang fund manager George Soros , Soros sempat memiliki 14,5% saham Bhakti Investama.
Investor2 global juga masuk ke Bhakti Investama, Morgan Stanley Co.Inc, Capital Middle East Ltd dari Timur Tengah, Cartier Fund dari AS.
Didukung fund manager global, ia dengan mudah menghimpun dan membuka akses modal dari berbagai pihak.
Ketika masuk Ke Bimantara tahun 2002, ia tidak membentuk konsorsium maupun melakukan pinjaman. Modalnya dari dari keuntungan dalam kegiatan investment banking.
